Concert Band is open to Monterey Trail students who can play a band instrument, with director approval. It focuses on music literacy, technique, and ensemble skills, and performs at concerts, festivals, and school/community events.

symphonic band

Symphonic Band is an advanced, audition-only ensemble for students with strong instrumental and ensemble skills. Members perform at concerts, festivals, commencement, and other events.

jazz band

Jazz Band is an audition-only group made up of top players in the program. It emphasizes improvisation, jazz styles, and articulation, and performs at concerts and community events.

Marching Mustangs

Marching Band includes all Concert and Symphonic Band members, along with Color Guard. It focuses on combining movement with playing and performs at games, competitions, parades, and community events.
