Get involved
When you see the Mustang Band perform, you will see hardworking students playing music and having fun. If you look closer- you will see hardworking students playing music and having fun who are well fed, dressed in uniforms fit just for them, using instruments transported carefully for them to play on, and immensely cared for by chaperones. All of these things are done by parents and family members of the Mustang Band. Keeping the logistical side of this program running is a big lift. The bigger our volunteer community is, the less work each individual person has to shoulder. Please consider volunteering in one of the ways below- even if it is just once or a twice a year- every set of hands makes an impact!
Join the Booster Club Band App to connect with our community by scanning the QR code or clicking the link below, or Email the Boosters directly to volunteer at MTHSBBC@gmail.com
uniform comittee
Help with organizing, fitting, and handing out marching uniforms at football games and marching competitions. Some light hemming may be involved when fitting students into their uniforms.
food service
Donating, preparing and/or serving meals for students at football games and marching competitions and other band events, ensuring students are fed during longer events that overlap with meal times.
chaperone
Supervise students on band trips and events as a chaperone
u-Haul Driver
Drive our equipment trucks to and from our marching competitions
equipment manager
Help students to load and unload our equipment U-Hauls for marching competitions and other events
booster meetings
Attend monthly booster meetings on zoom for about an hour. At these meetings, attendees participate in the planning of events, voice their ideas, and hear direct updates from students and staff about how things are going.
audience member
It is more fun to play for an audience of family and friends than empty seats. We would love as much support as possible at our performances.
other ideas?
If you have a special skill or another way to volunteer, please let us know!
In the past parents have built props, been our photographer, created our concert programs and got their company to donate to our organization.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Calling all Mustang Band and Color Guard Families! We need volunteers to staff our Fireworks Booth. We make $20,000 a year on this fundraiser- but we can’t do it without family support. You will get community service hours! You can stay for one hour, two hours, or the whole day as you wish. Please come and help us wave flags, take a nap in your lawn chair, lounge around, hang out with friends, listen to music, read a book, play a board game, plan an activity or no activity of your choice. If you are over 18, you can enter the booth and help with customers. If you are under 18, you can not go inside the booth where the fireworks are but you are welcome to anywhere around the area. There will be drinks & food, lawn chairs, pop-up tents for you to have a picnic if you like. Click the link below to sign up! Thank you!
